Nilesh Tribhuvann is the Founder and President of the Association of Indian Law Firms. He is simultaneously the Founder and Managing Partner of White & Brief – Advocates and Solicitors, India's fastest growing full-service law firm with over 108 lawyers across Mumbai, New Delhi, and Bengaluru.
Nilesh brings over 15 years of frontline legal experience across complex litigation, dispute resolution, white-collar crime, corporate advisory, M&A, and cross-border transactions. He holds four LLMs an MBA and was mentored by the legendary Late Mr. Ram Jethmalani and Mr. Mahesh Jethmalani at Ram Jethmalani Chambers.
He has handled over 7,000 cases and 4,000 arbitrations, advised on transactions worth over INR 3,00,000 crore, and represented Fortune 500 companies including Apple Inc., Reliance Industries, Godrej Group, IndiGo Airlines, Kalyan Jewellers, Hyundai Motor India, JSW, and Goldman Sachs. He is also the author of Asian Trade Dynamics, endorsed by Supreme Court justices and global institutional leaders.
As Chairman of AILF, Nilesh drives the Association's policy agenda, international engagement, and institutional positioning. He engages directly with Union Ministers, Chief Justices, Chief Ministers, and international legal leaders on behalf of the organised Indian legal profession.
The AILF Governing Council is elected by the membership every two years. It comprises representatives of member firms across geographies, practice areas, and firm sizes, ensuring democratic and balanced institutional leadership. The current Governing Council is in its inaugural term.
Council nominations and elections are conducted under a transparent process administered by an independent electoral officer. No single firm may hold more than one Council seat per election cycle.
Prateek Bansal is the Secretary General of the Association of Indian Law Firms. He is simultaneously a Partner at White & Brief – Advocates & Solicitors, where he leads the Taxation, Trade & Regulatory practice.
He advises and represents Indian and multinational clients in complex advisory and litigation matters before various judicial and quasi-judicial forums. His practice also focuses on cross-border structuring, foreign investment, and India entry strategies, where he works closely with global businesses to design efficient, compliant, and execution-driven frameworks.
Prateek is actively involved in policy advocacy and regularly engages with government authorities including the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Commerce & Industry on taxation and trade-related issues including FTAs, Quality Control Orders, and anti-dumping duties.
At AILF, besides supervising the administrative functions and assisting the Governing Council, Prateek actively promotes the members' growth by creating regulatory awareness, facilitating trade measures and supporting international collaborations.
